Proof that leaks isn't proof anymore. ProofDesk is built around a simple principle: what you capture belongs only to you, and we have no business accessing it.

Device encryption
Your pieces are stored on your phone, protected by the device encryption iOS applies to app data. No cloud by default, no copy on our servers without an explicit action from you.

Timestamps
Each piece carries its capture date and time, and GPS coordinates if you turn them on. Those metadata are carried over as-is into the PDF export.

GDPR, FR hosting
French company, French hosting, no transfer outside the EU/EEA. You stay in control of your data, at all times.

Export under your control
You decide when to export, to whom, and in what form. PDF, AirDrop, email, USB — every step is yours to trigger.

Optional AI assistant, hosted in Europe
Off by default. If you turn it on, text excerpts (description, OCR, transcriptions) are sent to our partner AI provider — a French company whose infrastructure is hosted in Europe (EU/EEA), never used to train a model. You can exclude sensitive pieces at any time.

What we get asked

Q.01Is a ProofDesk piece admissible in court?
ProofDesk produces a body of evidence: photos, memos, measurements — all timestamped and filed. Final admissibility is up to the judge, but the quality of traceability and filing helps your lawyer significantly.
Q.02Is my data sent to a server?
Not by default. Your case files, photos, voice memos, and notes stay on your device, protected by the device encryption iOS applies to app data.
Two exceptions, both explicit and opt-in:
- iOS iCloud Backup — if you have it turned on, your pieces are included in Apple’s iCloud Backup, handled by Apple under its own terms. We have no access to it. End-to-end encrypted backup operated by us does not exist yet: it is planned for a future release.
- Optional AI assistant — if enabled, the necessary text excerpts (description, OCR, transcriptions of the relevant pieces) are sent to our partner AI provider — a French company whose infrastructure is hosted in Europe (EU/EEA). Not retained at all (Zero Data Retention), never used to train models. You can exclude sensitive pieces individually.
Q.03What happens if I lose my phone?
Your pieces are encrypted on your iPhone and included in iOS iCloud Backup if you have it on — restored automatically when you switch devices.
For extra protection, the app reminds you to regularly export your case files (PDF + raw pieces) to iCloud Drive, email, or a Mac.
End-to-end encrypted cloud backup with a recovery phrase is planned for a future release.
Q.04Can I share a case file with my lawyer?
Yes. You generate a chronological PDF export, or a complete bundle (PDF + raw pieces) to share by email, AirDrop, or USB key.
Q.05Is the app free?
Free: unlimited case files, 30 items per case file. Premium: €9.99 per month or €79 per year (US$9.99 / US$79 in the United States), with a 7-day free trial — unlimited case files and items, AI assistant, full PDF + ZIP export. Both plans are auto-renewing subscriptions, cancellable at any time from your App Store settings.
Q.06Who is behind ProofDesk?
ProofDesk is built in France by an independent developer. ProofDesk is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for an attorney.
Q.07Is the AI assistant required? What does it see?
No, the assistant is fully optional: no piece is analyzed until you turn it on in settings.
When active, it only accesses text excerpts of the case file you're querying — descriptions, OCR from scans, voice-memo transcriptions. It does not receive raw photos.
Our partner AI provider is a French company whose infrastructure is hosted in Europe (EU/EEA), does not retain the excerpts (Zero Data Retention), and never uses them to train its models. You can disable the assistant at any time, or exclude individual pieces you don't want analyzed.
